Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality Consultant

An innovative, employee-owned environmental consultancy is seeking a motivated early-career Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality professional to join its growing team. The business provides specialist services including air quality and dust monitoring, technical consultancy, equipment design/development, and laboratory testing/analysis.

The Role
This is a broad, hands-on position that will include:
Completing occupational exposure assessments for dusts, fibres, VOCs, gases and other workplace contaminants.
Writing high-quality, accurate and meaningful technical reports.
Supporting noise monitoring, LEV assessments and related surveys (training provided).
Responding to client queries, producing quotations, and assisting with business development activity.
The role is primarily office-based, but you'll regularly visit client sites across the UK. Hybrid working is available once training is completed.
What We're Seeking
Essential
Minimum 1 year's experience in occupational/industrial hygiene, including airborne contaminant and noise monitoring.
Strong communication skills, with proven report-writing ability.
Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Confidence handling and interpreting large datasets.
Working knowledge of COSHH, EH40 and relevant MDHS guidance.
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
Desirable
BOHS membership.
Degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or similar.
Familiarity with indoor air quality frameworks/standards (e.g., BREEAM).
Experience with LEV testing and/or supporting commercial enquiries/quotations.
Strong client-facing capability and ability to work autonomously.
Willingness to travel and stay overnight occasionally.
