Job Description:
The role Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for administering a large caseload of debt recovery litigation files, managing deadlines, and ensuring that all legal processes are followed efficiently and effectively.
Key responsibilities and tasks include:
* Manage a high-volume caseload of debt recovery litigation files, ensuring timely progress and compliance with court deadlines.
* Draft, review, and file litigation documents including claims, witness statements, and related court materials.
* Maintain accurate case records and monitor all procedural and filing requirements.
* Communicate effectively with clients, debtors, solicitors, and other stakeholders to resolve matters efficiently.
* Utilize case management systems and legal technology to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
* Conduct legal research and contribute to process improvements with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
Qualifications and Skills:
Candidates for this position should have the following skills and qualifications:
* Proven ability to manage multiple litigation files independently with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident in engaging professionally with diverse stakeholders.
* Proactive and solutions-focused, demonstrating initiative and creativity in problem-solving and process improvement.
* Skilled in using automated legal systems, databases, and case management software.
* Adaptable and effective in fast-paced, technology-driven environments with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
* Law degree (or equivalent) with litigation experience, ideally in debt recovery, and solid knowledge of relevant court procedures.
