Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25, with additional payments depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with a flexible range that can go down to a minimum of 12 hours.
The availability windows for the role are:
* Wednesday: 15:00 – 24:00
* Thursday: 15:00 – 24:00
* Friday: 15:00 – 24:00
We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and give you a three‑week notice of your exact shifts. If the times you are available are close to, but not identical with, our advertised windows, we still welcome your application.

Responsibilities
* Work in a fast‑paced retail environment, with a variety of tasks.
* Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
* Be there for customers, listening to them and helping to ensure they leave the store with what they came for.
* Look for ways to improve service, including coaching the team and giving constructive feedback.
* Guide and support colleagues in store, ensuring it remains a safe place to work and shop.
* Maintain a great understanding of store performance, and assist managers in implementing actions that improve operations.
* Lead from the front, setting a strong example for the team.
* Coordinating the store team to deliver an easy, fuss‑free shopping experience for customers.
* Supporting colleagues, ensuring they deliver daily priorities and take regular breaks.
* Opening and closing the store, completing duty cover, and ensuring all decisions support safety.
* Act as the go‑to person for employees in the absence of a manager, answering day‑to‑day queries.
* Keeping the store clean, tidy, and well‑presented.
* Supporting managers to coordinate seasonal, community and charity events.
* Contributing to an inclusive team atmosphere.
* Providing great customer service by listening to our customers and putting them first.
* Keeping the team updated on communications, changes and updates.
* Staying knowledgeable about store performance and actively seeking ways to improve and simplify operations.
* Coordinating store improvements and removing obstacles to great service.
* Following health and safety routines and procedures, ensuring colleagues do the same.
* Recognising and celebrating team members who deliver outstanding service.
