Job Title: Senior Reliability Engineer
Location: Ashford, TN24 0L
Salary: £55,000 - £57,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
A full-time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Ashford site for a Senior Reliability Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for determining and providing the correct maintenance strategy for the site equipment; this involves optimizing preventative and proactive maintenance against reliability and cost objectives.
The successful candidate will:
1. Produce and optimize a timely and deliverable cost-effective maintenance programme for your manufacturing function to enhance the reliability of all electrical and mechanical assets.
2. Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability.
3. Utilize Reliability Engineering tools such as CMMS, RCM, RBI, RCA, PM plan optimizations, equipment history analysis, failure predictions, predictive maintenance techniques, and others to maximize equipment reliability.
4. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and systems to maintain operational efficiency, identify faults, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
5. Lead escalation of maintenance or breakdown support from OEMs.
6. Support engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure maximum utilization of engineering equipment, achieving KPIs and optimal line efficiency within safety, quality, and environmental policies.
7. Provide technical input into the design and installation of new equipment and develop effective maintenance plans, including technical documents and SOPs, for site capital projects.
8. Assist in future CAPEX planning through analysis of machine obsolescence programs.
9. Collaborate with the wider engineering team to ensure best practices are followed.
10. Record and analyze data related to equipment performance and reliability.
11. Train team members on reliability principles and practices.
12. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Requirements:
1. HNC / Degree in electrical, mechanical, or automation disciplines.
2. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automation maintenance, with experience in food manufacturing (mixing/packing) & process equipment.
3. Understanding of OEM Asset Care guidance.
4. Broad knowledge of asset care systems and strong organizational and planning skills for overhaul activities and machine upgrades.
5. Ability to drive change and implement new working methods.
6. Strong knowledge of reliability principles and maintenance strategies.
7. Experience in analyzing complex operational issues.
