Quantity Surveyor – Civils
Due to the nature of this project, which is based on a high-security site, successful candidates will be required to undergo additional security screening. BPSS-level security clearance is mandatory, and the clearance process may take approximately 4–6 weeks.

* Hold a passport from an EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member country, and
* Have continuously resided in the UK for the past 5 years
will be eligible for consideration.
Role Overview
You will be working within a live MOD facility, supporting commercial and contractual management across civil engineering works. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to cost and contract management.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide commercial input, including financial and contractual performance forecasts, to the management team
* Support delivery of business targets and KPIs
* Ensure cash flow is effectively managed, including timely payments and receipts
* Prepare and review monthly cost reports, analysing results and identifying trends with the wider project team
* Forecast and monitor expenditure against approved client budgets
* Undertake physical measurement of works and agree valuations with clients and subcontractors
* Manage certification and payment of subcontractor accounts, ensuring alignment with forecasts
* Implement and comply with contract change control procedures, including appropriate client communication
* Manage subcontractors, including issuing enquiries, analysing quotations, negotiating, placing orders, and agreeing final accounts
* Assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks in line with company risk management policies
* Maintain strong client relationships through clear and professional communication
Candidate Requirements
* Professionally qualified Quantity Surveyor or relevant graduate qualification (HNC / BSc / MSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management)
* CSCS White PQP/AQP card
* Strong understanding and experience of NEC contracts
* Experience with CEMAR (desirable but not essential)
* Experience using Coins / Causeway accounting systems
* Full UK driving licence
* Degree educated or equivalent relevant experience
* Previous experience in a similar Quantity Surveying role
* Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* Ability to work effectively within a diverse, high-performing team
