What you'll be doing
As an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for ER guidance and support; helping leaders navigate people matters with confidence, consistency and fairness. Reporting into ER Manager, you will:
- Receiving calls via a line manager phone service and providing appropriate and accurate advice.
- Answering detailed questions about disciplinary, grievance, absence management, parental leave or any other ER related topic.
- Being able to navigate systems, provide accurate advice and document information simultaneously.
- Handling all matters confidentially.
- Being part of a small and cohesive team
- Contributing to additional department tasks and responsibilities as and when required.
What you'll need to have (our must-haves)
- Experience in handling a broad range of ER cases, ideally within a fast‑paced environment.
- Confidence with coaching and influencing managers at all levels.
- To be able to communicate complex issues clearly and sensitively.
- Be highly organised and detail-focused.
- Knowledgeable about current UK employment law and ER best practice.
- Be a confident computer user with a solid knowledge of Microsoft applications.
