Job Opportunity: Senior Support Engineer
One of my long-standing clients is hiring for an exciting new opportunity. They provide infrastructure, WiFi leased line internet, managed switch infrastructure, and VoIP telephony to over 10,000 clients in the UK's flexible workspace, co-working, hospitality, and commercial real estate industries. Having achieved significant success in the UK, they are now looking to expand their technical support capabilities.
The senior support engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting key customers. You will provide in-depth 3rd line support on network and WiFi infrastructure for clients across the UK and Europe. This role is hybrid, with approximately 3 days per week on-site, and offers opportunities to travel to customer sites, participate in project work, and handle installations, including potential overtime.
Must Have Skills and Experience:
1. Experience working across various levels of IT helpdesks from 1st to 3rd line support
2. Strong focus on networking
3. Experience troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls
4. Deep understanding of network infrastructure
5. Experience with wired network technologies such as Cisco, HP/Aruba, Juniper, Fortinet
6. Experience with WiFi technologies such as Ruckus, Unifi, Meraki
7. Strong communication skills
8. Advanced network diagnostics skills, with experience using Wireshark or similar tools
9. Experience working in a systems integrator or similar IT environment managing wireless network infrastructure
10. Experience supporting clients across Europe
11. Experience with Wi-Fi design, installation, and support in infrastructure projects
12. Experience installing networking equipment in corporate environments
