Finance Assistant - Bradford
Robert Half Finance & Accounting is recruiting a new role of Finance Assistant for a fantastic professional services business based in Bradford. The team is growing and looking to add a new member.
This role requires someone with previous finance experience who is early in their study journey.
Key Duties:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations
* Maintain fixed assets and prepare depreciation schedules
* Prepare quarterly VAT returns
* Conduct overhead and variance analysis
* Prepare ad-hoc reports
* Handle month-end processing and switch over
* Manage residual balances
* Perform bank reconciliations
* Post petty cash transactions and reconcile
* Ensure all client transactions comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules
* Input purchase ledger invoices into the system
* Perform general administration tasks as required
* Produce ad-hoc MI using Excel
* Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to partnership finances & client accounts
* Assist with auditors' requests
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience working within a finance function
Studying towards professional accountancy qualifications
