Support the development of B&Q’s long-term strategy and the prioritisation and tracking of key initiatives aligned to both long-term goal and short-term financial ambition Lead cross-functional teams to review and make recommendations on big strategic initiatives, acting as a strategic advisor by providing robust insight and driving clear conclusions Provide thought leadership across the organisation and be an objective counsel for peers and leaders in B&Q Identify and r eview new business opportunities / innovations to establish new routes to market for the B&Q brand Keep abreast of market trends and translate into relevant insight for B&Q Support M&A activity and partnership opportunities, including the evaluation of opportunities and potential targets, transaction / negotiation process and integration plans Assist the facilitation of regular Governance meetings to review priorities and resolve complex topics. Influences strategic priorities through robust analysis and recommendations Reviews content for Strategy Board meetings to ensure quality Please note, we will be conducting interviews in January Previous experience in strategy, either at a top tier consultancy or in-house S trategy of a retail or customer facing organisation Strategic mindset with the ability to simplify complex problems Ability to analyse data, draw insights/ recommendations and translate them into realistic and implementable plans Determination to deliver significant, enduring and measurable results Strong stakeholder communicat ion at all levels Influential and able to take a strong position on topics, based on objective judgement, practical and down to earth point of view Strong project/programme management skills Previous experience establishing partnerships and M&A desirable As part of a great team, you’ll be valued for who you are.
