Product Manager – Digital Hospital
Salary: Negotiable plus benefits. Contract type: Permanent. Shift pattern: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week.
Location: Hybrid working available, but will need to work from Cromwell Hospital when required, approx. 1‑2 days per week.

Role Overview
As a Product Manager you will provide support for system, clinical and operational improvements for the product, enabling continuous and rapid change required to support the business strategy. You will act as the voice of the customer, balancing their requirements with business and clinical requirements. Work with operational and clinical leaders to understand the business needs and strategy, inform and implement system and process changes, and proactively identify opportunities to improve the customer journey, system user experience and business performance.
Responsibilities
* Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for the Patient Administration System, aligning with the BCH’s overall goals and objectives.
* Develop and maintain a product roadmap, communicating timelines and milestones to stakeholders.
* Support the creation and execution of journey optimisations, including the process of insight gathering, idea generation, user research, customer journey mapping, wireframing & design development, copywriting, user testing, building & delivery.
* Create, prioritise, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the needs of stakeholders and customers.
* Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing and development teams, to gather requirements and feedback while driving our transformation agenda.
Qualifications
* Experience and proficiency in healthcare technology.
* Desirable: Degree educated or equivalent.
* High standard of presentation skills, including creation and delivery.
* Experience delivering clinical and operational services.
* Desirable experience in the healthcare industry, on‑site and remote services and understanding of current policies and procedures (including CQC).
* Experience managing complex multi‑functional service delivery operations.
* Experience working with complex systems & processes and an ability to simplify these.
Technical Skills Required
* Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, and experience with Agile tools like Jira or Trello.
* Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Knowledge of the SDLC and experience working closely with development teams to deliver software products.
* Technical Documentation: Ability to create and maintain technical documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
* API Integration: Familiarity with API integration and the ability to understand and communicate technical requirements for integrating third‑party services.
* Data Analysis: Proficiency in using data analysis tools and techniques to gather insights and make data‑driven decisions.
* UX/UI Principles: Understanding of UX/UI design principles and the ability to collaborate with design teams to create user‑friendly interfaces.
