The Engineering Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to the engineering team. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations within the engineering office and maintains accurate engineering records, including the creation and management of Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the company’s ERP system. The position supports engineering workflows, documentation, and project coordination to enhance efficiency and accuracy across engineering functions.
Engineering Administrator Role:
• Create, maintain, and update engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs) accurately in the ERP system.
• Support the engineering team with administrative tasks, including document management, data entry, and record keeping.
• Assist in the preparation of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation as required.
• Coordinate the flow of information between engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and other departments.
• Ensure engineering documentation is organized, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Track changes to engineering designs, revisions, and updates in compliance with company processes.
• Support project planning and scheduling by providing accurate engineering data and reports.
• Assist in the management of engineering-related workflows within the ERP system.
• Provide general administrative support to the Engineering Manager and engineering team.
Engineering Administrator Requirements:
• Level 4 Engineering qualification or diploma in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
• Previous experience in an engineering administration, technical support, or document control role.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and management.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in data management.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, and administrative teams.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.
• Understanding of change control management systems and implementation thereof.
