Role Overview
This is not a standard graduate role.
The Operations & Customer Success Executive is an elite leadership training position designed to develop you into an Operations Director or COO within 48–72 months.
From day one, you will be embedded in two critical areas of ECG:
* Operations – learning to run the business engine that delivers excellence across all departments.
* Customer Success – learning to manage, retain, and grow relationships with high-value clients worldwide.
You will shadow, assist, and learn directly from ECG’s senior leadership, gradually taking on department-wide responsibilities and preparing for executive decision-making.
Key Role Phases & Progression Path
Phase 1 – Foundation (Months 1–12)
* Learn ECG’s systems, processes, and workflows inside out.
* Master Trello project management and client delivery processes.
* Assist in creating daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
* Support client meetings and learn how to own client relationships.
* Learn how to track productivity and analyse performance data.
Phase 2 – Development (Months 12–24)
* Manage small-scale operational projects independently.
* Lead client accounts under supervision.
* Optimise workflows and contribute to process improvement projects.
* Begin managing internal team performance tracking.
* Receive management training on leadership, delegation, and decision-making.
Phase 3 – Leadership (Months 24–48)
* Take over operations for specific departments or brands within ECG.
* Manage full client portfolios and lead customer success strategies.
* Conduct client review meetings and present results to leadership.
* Take responsibility for cross-department coordination.
* Train junior hires and lead operational onboarding.
Phase 4 – Executive Preparation (Months 48–72)
* Fully run ECG’s operations department or a business division.
* Own the company-wide client retention strategy.
* Contribute to company-wide strategic planning with the CEO & C-Suite.
* Prepare for promotion to Operations Director or COO.
Core Responsibilities from Day One
Operational (50%)
* Assist in managing Trello boards for projects and clients.
* Help prepare KPI dashboards and performance reports.
* Support resource planning and allocation across departments.
* Learn workflow optimisation and identify areas for efficiency gains.
* Observe and assist in operational meetings and planning sessions.
Customer Success (50%)
* Assist in onboarding new clients and setting them up for success.
* Support regular client communication and updates.
* Help track client satisfaction scores and retention metrics.
* Learn upsell and cross-sell identification strategies.
* Attend client review calls to understand relationship management best practices.
Graduate Entry Requirements (ECG Perfect Candidate Standards Apply)
* Graduate from a Top 30 UK or global university (Russell Group or Ivy League equivalent).
* Achieved a 2:1 or First Class Honours degree.
* Achieved A* or A or AAB minimum at A-Levels.
* Strong leadership potential demonstrated through university, internships, or extracurricular roles.
* Passion for business operations, leadership, and client relationship management.
* Desire to progress to COO/Director-level roles within 5–6 years.
