About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale BMS and electrical installation projects across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. You will be responsible for managing complex electrical and control system projects from design through to commissioning, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency throughout every stage.
This position is suited to someone with a minimum of 10 years' experience managing electrical installation or BMS integration projects, who combines strong leadership with technical knowledge and fluency in modern digital project management tools.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee the successful delivery of BMS electrical installation projects, including containment, wiring, panel installation, and integration with building services.
· Plan, coordinate, and manage project delivery from design and procurement through to commissioning and handover.
· Lead on-site teams of electricians, engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.
· Review and interpret BMS and electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure alignment with client and consultant requirements.
· Manage budgets, timelines, and change control processes, reporting progress to senior management and clients.
· Ensure strict adherence to BS 7671, health and safety legislation, and company quality standards.
· Liaise closely with BMS engineers, commissioning teams, and controls specialists to ensure seamless system integration.
· Use modern software tools for field-based project coordination, document control, scheduling, and reporting (e.g. MS Project, Fieldwire, Autodesk Build, or equivalent).
· Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and consultants to ensure clear communication and project success.
Skills & Qualifications
· Minimum 10 years' experience managing large electrical or BMS installation projects.
· Strong background in BMS controls, electrical installation, and system integration within commercial or industrial environments.
· Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
· Deep understanding of LV distribution systems, control panel wiring, and containment systems.
· Competent with modern digital project management tools for field coordination and reporting.
· Solid commercial awareness with experience of contract administration (JCT, NEC, etc.).
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Attributes
· Experience managing BMS systems from manufacturers such as Trend, Siemens, Schneider, or Delta.
· Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and KNX protocols and general BMS architecture.
· Experience coordinating with MEP consultants, main contractors, and commissioning teams.
