Pupil Support Assistant Balerno Community High School Salary: £26,806 - £27,032 (pro rata for part-time and sessional) Hours: 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional Balerno High School is a six-year comprehensive which serves the districts of Balerno, Ratho and Kirknewton. The school has close liaison with the associated primaries in each of these communities. An active Parent Council supports us. The roll for session 2026-2027 is 890 pupils in years S1 to S6. Around twenty five percent of our pupils are enrolled as placing requests from out with the catchment. Pupil Support Assistants are required to join the Support for Learning team assisting and encouraging students with the aim of maximising attainment and support for all pupils.
