£40,000 – £55,000 per annum Depending on experience + 10% discretionary bonus.
The role
You will assist the Head of Project Development in managing and overseeing some of InstaVolt’s most complex and high-profile hub projects – multi-use sites that combine EV charging infrastructure with additional amenities such as new-build car parks, food & beverage units, and service facilities. These projects demand strong attention to detail, hands-on coordination with external consultants, and the ability to meet challenging deadlines.
You will bring a proven background in project coordination, design oversight, and team leadership, along with a passion for sustainable energy and infrastructure.
Working closely with external architects, consultants, and contractors, you’ll ensure all projects meet the highest standards of design, functionality, and cost-efficiency – aligned with our brand values and business goals.
InstaVolt is a fast-paced environment, so the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure is essential. You’ll be responsible for multiple projects at once, so strong organisational and prioritisation skills are critical.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and support a team of Lead Project Developers, promoting collaboration and high performance.
* Assist the Head of Project Development in delivering complex hub projects, including EV charging, amenities, and car parks.
* Manage the full pre-construction process, from concept design to planning approval and project handover.
* Carry out site assessments, considering technical, environmental, and planning factors.
* Oversee and approve design documentation, including site layouts and architectural plans.
* Develop design concepts that align with InstaVolt’s brand and enhance user experience.
* Ensure designs meet all technical, regulatory, and sustainability requirements.
* Manage planning applications directly or through external consultants.
* Coordinate with consultants and partners to keep projects on track.
* Report regularly to senior management on project progress, risks, and key milestones.
* Review work by other developers and provide constructive feedback.
* Ensure all work complies with company policies and safety standards.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience managing teams, ideally in design or infrastructure.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
* Experience coordinating with external consultants and delivering projects to tight deadlines.
* Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp is preferred.
* Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint); quick to learn new systems.
* Good understanding of planning processes, building regulations, and compliance.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.
* Proactive, organised, and comfortable working under pressure.
