Cleaning Assistant (Morning Shift)
Location: Stamford PE9
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM (15 hours per week)
Reports to: Cleaning Team Leader
Location: Main campus and nearby sites
Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cleaning Assistant to join our team for the early morning shift. This role is essential in ensuring the college is clean, presentable, and ready for the day ahead. You'll work independently or as part of a small team to clean classrooms, corridors, and shared areas before students and staff arrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean and sanitise classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas
* Vacuum, mop, sweep, and polish floors
* Empty bins and dispose of rubbish safely
* Wipe down desks, surfaces, and frequently touched areas
* Restock cleaning supplies and report low stock when necessary
* Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and within time
* Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper use of cleaning products and equipment
* Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
Requirements:
* Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
* Punctual, dependable, and trustworthy
* Basic understanding of health and safety (training provided)
* A DBS check will be required (or willingness to undergo one)
