We are looking for an experienced accounts technician or accounts senior to join a long-established and friendly accountancy practice in the Bolton area. If you have a warm personality and professional expertise, this could be the perfect role for you.
Role and Responsibilities
* Prepare accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Handle personal and corporation tax computations
* Compile monthly management accounts
* Conduct bookkeeping tasks using software like Sage and Quickbooks for VAT returns
* Communicate directly with clients, addressing queries, and offering ongoing business advice
* Support and collaborate with team members, including mentoring trainees
Minimum Knowledge and Experience Required
* Experience in a small/medium accountancy practice
* Ideally AAT qualified or equivalent, with strong knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
* Confidence in visiting clients to assist in maintaining computerised accounting records
* Proficiency in a range of accounting packages, particularly Sage Business Cloud/Sage Line 50
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and strong organisational skills
* Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain client relationships
