We’re looking for a dynamic, creative, organised, and confident individual to develop a new visitor experience for Shugborough, as part of a project focusing on the development of facilities and infrastructure. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, managing small projects and budgets.
What it's like to work here
Situated almost equidistant between Stafford and Rugeley, Shugborough is the most significant surviving historic house, designed landscape, and estate within Staffordshire.
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be part of the internal consultancy team. The role is based at Shugborough Estate, with a hybrid working environment offered.
What you'll be doing
You will be responsible for engaging all key partners throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to delivery. This includes working with internal and external collaborators to meet tight deadlines and exploring funding opportunities, including submitting applications.
You will also develop key aspects of the visitor experience, bringing the property's story to life through engaging interpretation, and managing essential services such as toilets and maps. Additionally, you will deliver play interventions across the property and develop the new ‘Explorer’s Wood’ play area.
Who we're looking for
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* A good understanding of delivering excellent visitor experiences and creating engaging interpretation tailored to audience needs.
* Strong organisational and planning skills.
* Excellent communication skills, with experience in planning and delivering communication strategies.
* Proven ability to produce clear and accurate written materials.
* Strong influencing skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* A good understanding of fundraising processes and working with funders.
