School Administrator & Learning Support Worker
Location: School based in Cardiff
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and versatile individual to join Teaching Personnel as a School Administrator & Learning Support Worker. This unique role combines administrative duties with direct support for pupils, making it ideal for someone who is highly organised, approachable, and passionate about education.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Duties
* Act as the first point of contact for parents, staff, and visitors
* Manage emails, phone calls, and correspondence efficiently
* Maintain accurate pupil records, attendance, and school databases
* Support with admissions, safeguarding, and financial administration
* Assist with planning school events, staff meetings, and scheduling
Learning Support Duties
* Provide in-class support for pupils, both individually and in small groups
* Assist with the learning and development of pupils with additional needs
* Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Support teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
* Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and social skills
About You
* Experience in administration and/or working with children in an educational setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organisational and IT skills (SIMS desirable)
* Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for supporting young people
* Ability to multitask and balance administrative and pupil-focused responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
