Who You Are Sefton’s Youth Justice Service is seeking a skilled and motivated Operational Manager for a fixed term of 6 months, with the potential for extension. You are an experienced leader with the capability to deliver high-quality services within the youth justice system. Essential qualifications include a relevant professional qualification and either a leadership qualification or equivalent experience. Your up-to-date knowledge of the youth justice environment will support management responsibilities for a multi-agency team. You are ambitious for children and committed to delivering high-quality services with the ability to work alongside partner agencies and Children Social Care colleagues. What the Job Involves Your main responsibilities include supporting the Service Manager to ensure the delivery of effective services for children and young people. You will manage a multi-agency team, provide oversight, and improve service quality. Responsibilities include formulating local plans, implementing the Service Development Plan, conducting audits, and developing relationships with partners. You will ensure services meet National Key Performance Indicators, take responsibility for budget reporting, and contribute to external funding bids. The role requires developing and facilitating service offers like risk management meetings, court services, and supporting victims. You also represent the Council in various forums and ensure operational efficiency.
