Overview
We are seeking a kind, patient, and experienced Personal Assistant/Carer to support a child with epilepsy and complex Special Educational Needs (SEN). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care and a genuine passion for helping children with additional needs live safely and comfortably.
Responsibilities
* Assisting with feeding and meal preparation
* Supporting with personal care, including showering and dressing
* Administering medications as required (training can be provided)
* Ensuring a safe environment and being alert to seizure activity
* Providing emotional support and encouragement throughout the day
* Assisting with routine daily activities in the home and community
Qualifications
* Experience caring for children with epilepsy and complex SEN
* Calm and reliable, with good observational skills
* Comfortable with personal care and handling medical needs
* Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain one)
* Ability to work independently and follow specific care routines
* First Aid training
* Epilepsy awareness training
* Car driver with access to a vehicle
Advert Details
* Hourly Rate: £12.21
* Hours Per Week: 8 hours in termtime and 16 hours per week in school holidays
* How hours will be used: Flexible throughout the week
