Job Purpose: The Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across a range of subjects, maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement while following lesson plans provided by teaching staff. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a school environment and make a positive impact on students learning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise classes and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
* Follow lesson plans provided by teachers and support students in completing set tasks.
* Ensure students remain on task and adhere to school behaviour policies.
* Monitor and report on student behaviour and progress to teachers.
* Assist with the preparation of classroom resources as needed.
* Support the schools ethos of inclusion, respect, and high expectations.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
* Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
* Patience, empathy, and a professional attitude.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., GCSEs or equivalent) are advantageous.
