An established and independently owned accountancy practice is seeking a Tax Senior / Assistant Tax Manager to join its growing tax team. Your new role
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality personal and corporate taxpliance services for a diverse client base, including owner‑managed businesses and groups. You will manage your own portfolio, ensure technical accuracy andpliance, and work closely with clients, HMRC, and internal teams.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients.
2. Delivering accurate and efficient taxpliance services.
3. Ensuring all filing and reporting deadlines are met.
4. Identifying andmunicating tax planning opportunities.
5. Reviewing and maintaining effectivepliance processes.
6. Assisting with moreplex corporate tax work when required.
7. Supporting and mentoring junior tax team members
What you'll need to succeed
8. Preparation of corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, partnership returns and P11Ds.
9. Previous experience using tax software (CCH beneficial).
10. Knowledge of VAT, Inheritance Tax and other relevant taxes such as SDLT.
11. Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
12. Confidencemunicating with HMRC.
13. Strong writtenmunication skills for reports, letters and emails.
14. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.
15. Experience within an accountancy practice environment.
