Hours:
40 hours per week
Your Responsibilities:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role within our Commercial team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Carrying out all aspects of cost control, subcontract management, and change management.
* Estimating target prices and negotiating with subcontractors.
* Identifying and agreeing on the value of additional works, monthly liabilities, and interim assessments.
* Producing and managing contractual documentation while mentoring junior staff.
Your Day-to-Day Tasks Will Include:
* Preparing, monitoring, and controlling budgets for highways projects.
* Conducting detailed cost forecasting and reporting to ensure projects remain within budget.
* Creating and reviewing contract documents, including bills of quantities and specifications.
* Organizing monthly cost reports and financial statements, providing insights to senior management.
* Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
* On-boarding subcontractors and drafting subcontract orders.
What We’re Looking For:
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Can lead and motivate team members effectively.
* Have a thorough understanding of construction contracts, law, and regulations.
* Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
* Possess MRICS or an equivalent professional qualification.
* Have proven experience in cost management, contract administration, and risk management.
* Can influence, negotiate, and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
