We are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service working with some of Cornwall's most excluded and disadvantaged people. Successful candidates will work as part of the adult community team, alongside in-house services which include outreach, hospital, clinical, criminal justice, and a residential rehabilitation facility.
Main duties of the job
Our Recovery Workers play a vital role in supporting clients to identify their goals, ambitions, and passions. You'll work with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to guide them on their path to recovery. This is a frontline role at WithYou, where you will provide continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connecting quickly with clients and ensuring they're always treated with respect and dignity.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or willing to achieve within 12 months
Experience
* Experience working within health, social care, criminal justice, or similar settings, or a motivation to work in the drug and alcohol sector
* Proven ability to build meaningful relationships and provide reliable customer service
* Highly organized with excellent communication skills and effective time management
* Ability to work collaboratively and supportively within a team
* Passionate, positive, and engaging approach to clients and stakeholders
* Experience or volunteering in health, social care, criminal justice, or related fields
* Experience working with individuals with substance misuse issues
* Driving license and access to a vehicle
* Effective relationship-building skills
* Resilience under pressure and prioritization skills
* Good oral and written communication skills
* IT competency
* Flexibility with working hours, including occasional support at other locations
