Responsibilities
1. Interpret and work from engineering drawings to fabricate and weld components
2. Perform MIG and TIG welding and plating tasks to a high standard
3. Maintain tight tolerances and meet output and quality standards
4. Work efficiently to meet or exceed production targets
5. Adhere to company procedures and health and safety regulations at all times
6. Collaborate with team members to ensure orders are completed on time and to customer specifications
7. Conduct and record regular equipment maintenance and safety checks
8. Accurately mark up component parts as required
Skills and Experience Required
9. Proven experience in welding and fabrication
10. Coded to BS EN ISO9606-1 (fillet and butt weld)
11. Strong MIG and TIG welding skills and ability to read complex engineering drawings
12. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
13. Good communication skills
14. Sound knowledge of Health and Safety practices in an engineering environment
