Vitalis is recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to work as a Team Manager in a Pre-Birth Team in Birmingham Council. Birmingham Children’s Trust are seeking to recruit passionate, driven individuals to join our pre-birth service. The successful candidate will be based within their teams at One Avenue working relationally with parents, extended families, internal and external partners and utilising a trauma‑informed approach is at the heart of this initiative. Within the Trust, we can draw upon an extensive internal resource network to support the work of these teams, including Breaking the Cycle, Family Group Conferencing, Safer Families and Families Together. This joint working seeks to provide our parents and families with the optimum opportunity to make sustained positive changes in their lives and for their unborn children. As a Trust, we are committed to practising in an evidence‑informed perspective. The pre‑birth teams were developed using the learning from the “Born Into Care” research project and this will now be strengthened through our participation in the Research in Practice Pre‑birth Change Project 2023 and ISAFE (Engaging Fathers) Research Project. Hybrid working pattern to be decided upon acceptance.
