About this job
We are looking for an experienced and motivated person to join our Swindon office.
You will be responsible for delivering the highest levels of service to our customers, the daily running of the site and ensuring a safe work environment for all who work on or visit site.
* Build a good working relationship with customers, consultants and supply chain and ensure good open dialogue throughout the project.
* Maintain quality control measures, including visual inspection of work and frequent tours of site.
* Understand the contract programme, update and report progress on a weekly basis.
* Produce, monitor and manage short‑term programmes related to the main construction programme.
* Set targets in conjunction with the site manager to ensure that the contract programme is met or improved upon.
* Manage materials procurement in line with the project construction programme and procurement schedule.
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors' attendance on site and ensure work is carried out in a timely manner.
* Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the quality test and inspection plans.
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company procedures, project specifications, drawings and current regulations and standards, and any non‑conformances are dealt with promptly and effectively.
* Ensure prospective subcontractors are fully aware of quality standards.
Qualifications
* ONC/HNC or trade background with recognised progression to site management.
* Degree or MCIOB membership desired.
* Demonstrable commitment to continuing professional development.
* SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS Card.
