About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every person working here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organizing essential fundraising events. Whether you’re encouraging Residents to socialize more effectively, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care home team, your work will be guided by kindness.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organizational, and IT skills are essential. You should be considerate and kind in all communications with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. It’s important that you can recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues will attend safeguarding training relevant to their roles and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately, escalating issues if necessary.
We provide full training, offering a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will enjoy various benefits and services supporting your well-being, including:
* Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more
