Randstad offers a remarkable and encouraging environment, dedicated to connecting aspiring teaching assistants with their desired roles in supporting and nurturing children's growth and success. You will be supporting children aged between 5-11 years in Ad hoc, Day to Day cover and regular long term roles. Full time and part time options are available.
We serve various primary schools across the Sheffield, South Yorkshire region. This position offers the flexibility to work as a supply teaching assistant in different Sheffield schools, allowing you to maintain control and select the schools and hours that best align with your preferences.
Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Providing daily support and guidance to students in their learning journey.
2. Collaborating with teachers to ensure curriculum objectives are met, promoting academic success.
3. Cultivating a positive and imaginative classroom atmosphere.
4. Encouraging student focus and motivation for completing planned activities and tasks.
5. Possibility of leading one-on-one or group support sessions for students with additional needs as necessary.
6. Establishing and nurturing positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents to facilitate consistent academic progress and transparency.
Requirements:
7. Previous and relevant experience supporting children
8. Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one through Randstad)
9. Eligibility to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship.
10. Strong patience and time management skills
11. Exceptional communication skills to maintain effective relationships with the teacher, children, and parents or carers.
12. Be committed to working collaboratively as a team
