What You’ll Do
* Deliver practical workshops in motorsport engineering, including race car preparation, data logging, diagnostics, and vehicle setup
* Share your real‑world motorsport experience to make learning engaging and industry‑relevant
* Teach supporting classroom theory sessions in motorsport systems, aerodynamics, and electronics
* Enhance our curriculum with your knowledge of motorsport technologies, including EV/PHEV systems and telemetry (advantageous)
* Collaborate with colleagues and race teams to ensure our training reflects current motorsport standards
* Support students in achieving industry‑recognised qualifications and certifications
What We Need From You
* A Degree or Vocational Qualification in Motorsport Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related discipline (City & Guilds, EAL, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
* At least 3 years’ recent experience in motorsport or high‑performance automotive engineering
* Strong working knowledge of motorsport systems, diagnostics, and race preparation
* Experience with EV/PHEV technologies or telemetry is highly advantageous
* Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring
* Willingness to complete teaching and assessing qualifications (fully funded)

Salary Package
Salary package includes base salary plus a Market Supplement of up to £10,000 per annum.

About The Bedford College Group
The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
