About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and adaptable Multi-Site Relief Care Workers to join Gloucestershire County Council's Adult Social Care in-house services. As part of our flexible staffing team, you will work across multiple sites to support existing care teams and ensure continuity of high-quality care for vulnerable adults.
You will deliver person-centred care with kindness, dignity, respect, and professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Support individuals with day-to-day living according to their care plans, including personal care.
* Work across various Adult Social Care in-house services to supplement staff teams when required.
* Undertake delegated tasks from Senior staff including Team Leaders, Managers, and Rehab Officers.
* Promote health, wellbeing, safety, and dignity for all individuals in your care.
* Work flexibly across a variety of shift patterns including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
* Maintain accurate written and verbal records and report changes or concerns promptly.
* Follow all GCC policies, procedures, health & safety instructions, and risk assessments.
* Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with legislation and guidance.
* Participate in supervision, appraisal, and ongoing training as required.
* Support with moving & handling, mobility assistance, and use of equipment such as hoists and wheelchairs.
Enhanced DBS check required.
Zero-hours contract: flexibility to work across different establishments within Gloucestershire.
Role involves regular physical activity (lifting, moving, handling).

Education & Qualifications
* GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
* Level 2 Health & Social Care (or willingness to work toward it).
* Willingness to complete the Care Certificate as part of induction.
