Lecturer - Carpentry and Joinery 40,170 - 48,357 1.0 FTE / 35 Hours Based at Stirling Campus Fixed-term to October 2025 The Department of STEM & Construction wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Lecturer of Carpentry and Joinery to work with learners across SCQF levels 5 to 7. You will produce high quality learning, teaching and assessment materials, and deliver excellent teaching to a range of learners in the college. The successful candidate will have thorough working knowledge of the current industry standards regarding Carpentry and Joinery services. Ideally you will have experience of delivering training to others within the workplace or training organisation. You will work with others to develop new approaches to learning and teaching, making use of learning technologies while ensuring that the curriculum is relevant and up-to-date. You will contribute to the development of provision and enhance students' learning by providing specialist subject support. You will naturally have a strong learner focus. Educated to an appropriate level minimum HNC or Industrial Equivalent within the discipline area and with significant industrial experience within the area of Carpentry and Joinery systems. Ideally, you will also have experience in further education or adult education and current driving license as the ability to work cross campus will be required. Knowledge of current National Occupational Standards and qualifications in related subjects are essential. You will have recent experience of developing innovative teaching practice along with good organisational skills and evidence of appropriate ICT skills.
