A vacancy will arise for a Cpl a vacancy will arise for a Cpl (Any Profession) to serve as JNCO Military Skills Instructor at HQ 6 FTS RAFC Cranwell on Full Time Reserve Service (LC) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 20 April 2026 (or earlier/later, subject to candidate status). The successful applicant will be part of a small team of instructors directly responsible for the provision of RAF Military Skills, and Force Development training to the 15 University Air Squadrons. Although based at RAFC Cranwell, where much of the training is delivered, the job will occasionally involve giving instruction at dispersed UAS locations. Candidates should note that the majority of UAS training is classroom based at RAFC Cranwell but will also include supporting the delivery of live firing ranges and fieldcraft exercises on MOD Training Areas. Training may also occasionally take place at weekends. The primary duties will involve: Ensuring that the UAS Ground Training syllabus is adhered to. Maintaining up to date lesson plans, teaching notes and visual aids for mil skills trg. Planning, conduct and supervising blank firing exercises and live firing ranges according to the qualification held. Supporting SNCOs FP (Regt) to organise and conduct of training in support of the Sqn Ground Training syllabus on all 15 UASs iaw current training directives. Maintain training records for all UAS students regarding training delivery. Delivering professional instruction and remaining up to date on all relevant teaching practices and subject matter relating to the delivery of mil skills training to UASs. Supporting Sqn and HQ-sponsored exercises as required. Whilst this is primarily an appointment focusing on the delivery of mil skills training, there will be opportunities to support wider UAS FD and leadership training activity and in an array of disciplines in which appropriate qualifications or interests are held.
