SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH) – Junior School

ANZUK Education is working closely with a wonderful and welcoming Junior School in Kingston Upon Thames to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role.
This position will focus on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning.
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
* Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies
* Help create a calm, nurturing, and structured learning environment
* Support pupils both in and out of the classroom when required
Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally SEMH
* A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
* Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Commitment to working full time
* Experience in a primary or junior school setting is desirable
