Job Spec
Mosaic is seeking a Credit Controller to manage premium receivable collections, improve cash flow, and reduce past-due balances. Reporting to the Credit Control & Collections Manager, this role is based in London.
Responsibilities
* Resolve unallocated cash, sign messages, send monthly statements to brokers, and monitor responses for appropriate action.
* Advise the Credit Control Manager on payment status updates.
* Track and report risks requiring management oversight, including potential cancellations for non-payment.
* Perform cash reconciliation and allocation in IT systems with the offshore credit control team.
* Ensure timely payments from Mosaic to brokers to resolve insurance transaction adjustments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve signing issues.
* Schedule and prepare for monthly meetings with brokers and underwriters to address issues and review overdue balances.
* Follow up with brokers, underwriters, and internal teams, documenting actions taken.
* Prepare weekly reports on open premium receivables, highlighting large overdue balances for action.
* Identify opportunities to improve credit control processes and support testing of new IT system functionalities.
* Work collaboratively with Mosaic and offshore teams to ensure issue resolution.
Skills, Experience, and Education
* Over 5 years of experience in collections, underwriting, finance, or similar roles in P&C insurance companies.
* Knowledge of general insurance principles and practices.
* Experience in Lloyd’s market, including open market and delegated underwriting authority (DUA).
* Understanding of syndicate and underwriting signing processes, Lloyd’s processing, and bureau payments (XIS/USM).
* Strong analytical skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel.
Preferred Experience
* Previous premium accounting or credit control experience.
* Familiarity with XFI policy administration system.
