INTERIM PROJECT ACCOUNTANT - 6 month contact
If you are a highly capable Project Accountant who can deliver a portfolio of high-priority strategic finance projects then you will be interested in this role.
This is a high-profile individual contributor role, ideal for someone who thrives on ownership, delivery and impact. You will work across multiple levels of the organisation, strengthening financial management, driving process improvement and supporting strategic decision-making.
The projects will vary in scope and complexity, providing meaningful and sustained challenge across the full assignment.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead and deliver strategic finance initiatives, including (but not limited to):
Reviewing VAT treatment and agreeing partial exemption methodology
Developing and delivering economic evaluation methodologies for new projects
Implementing new finance tools (e.g., invoice recognition solutions)
Reviewing and updating finance policies and procedures
Defining, implementing and tracking KPIs for the finance team
Providing financial analysis and insight to support new organisational initiatives
This role requires someone who can independently scope, initiate, manage and complete projects ensuring sustainable outcomes that strengthen the organisation long-term.
