Job Description

We are expanding our business development efforts to build crucial partnerships, thriving ecosystems, and core portfolio capabilities to create sustainable impact and long-term customer value. We are looking for a leader to join our team to scale our efforts globally. The team comprises strategy development and business development experts who work across Philips businesses to translate strategy into execution and bring in key partnerships to tailor our value chain and extend it to build business together.
The ideal candidate will possess a business background enabling engagement at the CxO level, along with sufficient domain knowledge to interact effectively with technical and clinical experts. As a leader, you will create and deliver plans to drive business development and partnership development, anchored in business strategy. Success requires strategic and analytical thinking about business, product, and technical challenges, the ability to build compelling value propositions, and cross-organizational collaboration to deliver outcomes and impact. You should be comfortable executing in ambiguous environments, influencing internally and externally, and maintaining a professional approach.
Your role:
1. Identify and engage external organizations based on strategic priorities to collaborate on technical and commercial challenges, develop partnerships, and build long-term value for customers.
2. Discover, capture, and report patterns and learnings from customers and partners to inform strategy and execution initiatives.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers within partner organizations to accelerate sustainable business growth for Philips, aligning assets to enhance the value chain, and jointly producing thought leadership and commercial impact reflected in financial performance.
4. Collaborate with colleagues across core informatics businesses to identify opportunities for M&A, conduct due diligence, and support post-merger integration to better serve customer needs.
5. Contribute to the work of sales, marketing, strategy, and product teams, and help develop the informatics business strategy.
You're the right fit if:
* Hold an MBA degree, preferably with a technical background (e.g., computer science).
* Have demonstrated leadership in leveraging strategic partnerships to impact top and bottom lines.
* Can build trust and manage relationships with C-level executives.
* Have a proven track record in executing mergers, acquisitions, and divestments to maximize value, including successful business integrations and carveouts.
* Are familiar with healthcare IT and AI domains, their ecosystems, trends, and accelerators that impact business operations.
* Understand the software value chain and opportunities for impact.
* Possess a strong bias for action, ownership, and trust-building internally and externally.
* Are confident in speaking engagements at conferences and industry events or publication outlets.
How we work together:
We believe in working collaboratively. This role requires working in-person at least three days per week. The position is based in Amsterdam.
