Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Plymouth on a flexible, supply basis. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals passionate about helping young people succeed in their education and for those seeking classroom experience.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to support students' learning, promote positive behaviour, and foster a nurturing environment. You may also provide one-to-one or small group support for students with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students inside and outside the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher
* Assisting with the delivery of learning activities and resources
* Providing individual or group support to students requiring additional help
* Helping manage classroom behaviour and maintaining a safe, positive learning environment
* Supporting pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs), where appropriate
* Encouraging student engagement and participation
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people in educational or care settings
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* A caring, patient, and flexible approach to supporting learning and behaviour
* Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with school staff
* A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
* Flexibility to work around your availability and lifestyle
* Experience in various school environments
