Commissioning Technician (EC&I) x 4
Reports to: Commissioning Manager
Main Purpose:
The role exists in order to develop and implement site commissioning arrangements across all aspects of site activities (e.g. Installation, Commissioning, Handover) in support of the overall project lifecycle.
The Commissioning Technician is responsible for ensuring that activities for the MENSA project, are undertaken in line with approved procedures as directed by the Commissioning Manager (or delegate) and report any technical or safety issues to their supervisor.
The Commissioning Technician will also undertake specific activities on behalf of the Commissioning function as required, including but not limited to installation activities if required.
Responsibilities
• Adherence to the agreed Commissioning Quality Management System and ensuring that they correctly apply procedures, codes and standards to commissioning activities.
• Functional inputs to Commissioning Deliverables.
• Accurately report job status to the Commissioning Manager (or delegate).
• Input Commissioning Documentation (including Test Documentation, Commissioning Reservations).
• Follow SSoWs to undertake works safely and report any issues in this regard.
• Responsible for the execution of commissioning tests to schedule.
• Responsible for the satisfactory completion of all commissioning execution records and results and control of all raw data associated with the tests they carry out.
• Input to the compilation and review of Commissioning LTQR packages
• Contribute to the safe operation of site including ESH focus cards
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Recognised level 3 qualification in a related engineering/construction subject
• IOSH Working Safely or IOSH Managing Safely or CCNSG Safety Passport
• Electrical Commissioning experience
• CSCS Affiliated Card.
Preferred Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Experience in the nuclear industry
• Previous site commissioning experience (nuclear)
• 18th Edition IEE Regulations (Electrical)
• Level 3 in Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
• Knowledge in Loop Testing
• Ability to read and interpret Schematic drawings
