Occupational Health Technician
Location: Manchester / Liverpool
Contract: Full time or Part time
Salary: £27,000.00 - £30,000.00 FTE
Travel: Role includes regular travel and overnight stays
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Occupational Health Technician (OHT) to join our team and deliver high quality health surveillance and medical assessments in line with UKIM service standards. This role is central to ensuring our clients receive a service that not only meets but exceeds expectations, while supporting the wider objectives of the business. You will take personal responsibility for completing all required work in accordance with your training and UKIM protocols. You will also play an active role in identifying inefficiencies, escalating concerns, and contributing to continuous improvement—always ensuring compliance with internal policies, Data Protection requirements, and confidentiality standards.
Main Responsibilities
* Carry out health surveillance, health monitoring, and wellbeing activities as required by client contracts.
* Record results accurately, typically using the OPAS G2 system.
* Maintain awareness of urgent escalation criteria and act promptly when required.
* Work in line with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
* Maintain and calibrate equipment, completing daily/weekly checks as directed by your line manager.
Role Requirements
Knowledge & Experience
* Education to GCSE/O Level standard.
* Experience in customer-facing roles.
* Understanding of health and safety (desirable).
* Strong communication and IT skills.
* Previous Occupational Health Technician training or experience (desirable).

* Confident and professional communication with external clients, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work accurately, follow protocols, and manage time effectively.
* Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
