Senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services (MEP)
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior / Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing MEP (Building Services) team based in our Plymouth office.
It’s a fantastic time to become part of Stantec’s MEP division! Our engineers are experts in creating high‑performing, sustainable environments. We work across all major sectors—from commercial and residential to heritage and industrial—delivering intelligent design that enhances the built environment and supports our clients’ net‑zero ambitions.
Our Plymouth office offers a dynamic base for delivering transformative projects across the UK and beyond. From this location, we’ve played a pivotal role in some of the UK’s most forward‑thinking infrastructure and development projects.
You will lead the day‑to‑day technical delivery of electrical design services on multi‑disciplinary building projects. You will oversee the production of high‑quality design deliverables, including specifications, drawings, and schedules.
You will support the commercial success of your projects through timely invoicing, WIP management, and workload/resource planning. You will mentor junior team members, including graduates and apprentices, and play a key role in their career development.
At Stantec, we place a strong emphasis on personal development, work‑life balance, and supporting our people to thrive.
