About the Role
Are you passionate about working with young people and using sport to inspire and motivate?
Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Sporty Learning Support Assistant to support students at one of our partner secondary schools in Blackwood. This role is ideal for someone energetic and enthusiastic about using physical activity and teamwork to help pupils stay focused, build confidence, and overcome barriers to learning.
You’ll work closely with students who need extra encouragement, acting as a positive role model and helping them engage more fully with their education. Whether it’s through mentoring, active sessions, or supporting in class, you’ll make a real impact on their wellbeing and progress.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school setting, support young people who need it most, and bring your passion for sport and youth development into the classroom.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
* The ability to motivate and re-engage pupils who may struggle to stay focused in lessons
* Patience, resilience, and consistency when managing challenging behaviours

Requirements
Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* At least two professional references covering the past two years
