Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic GP looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and forward-thinking environment? We are excited to be recruiting a Salaried GP to join our established practice for 4-5 sessions per week. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a practice that values continuity of care, professional development, and a strong team ethos.


Main duties of the job

As a Salaried GP with us, you'll be central to delivering high-quality primary care to our diverse patient population. Your main duties will include:

* Consulting with patients to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care, offering both face-to-face and remote consultations.
* Managing acute and chronic medical conditions, providing evidence-based care in line with current guidelines.
* Undertaking administrative duties relating to patient care, including referrals, prescriptions, and record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Contributing to the practice's commitment to quality improvement and participation in clinical audits.
* Engaging in clinical team meetings and collaborating with our healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient management.
* Supporting the training of future GPs as part of our commitment as a training practice.

About Our Organisation

We are a well-regarded and friendly training practice located in a desirable, affluent area, serving a stable patient population of approximately 6,800. Our practice is built on a foundation of strong relationships and mutual respect, fostering a collaborative atmosphere where everyone's contribution is valued.

Our clinical team currently comprises four dedicated Partners and two experienced Salaried GPs, supported by an excellent nursing team, as well as an efficient administrative and reception team, and a practice manager. We also have an in-house pharmacist, a home visiting paramedic and an ACP paramedic working in the surgery alongside the team. We pride ourselves on a balanced workload, encouraging professional growth, and maintaining a positive work-life balance for all our team members. As a training practice, we are passionate about education and offer opportunities for ongoing learning and development within a stimulating academic environment.


Job responsibilities

JobSummary:

Towork as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision ofcomprehensive medical services to the practice population, ensuring the higheststandards of patient care are delivered in line with the GMS contract, currentclinical guidelines, and practice policies. The post-holder will contribute tothe effective functioning of the practice team and foster a collaborativeworking environment.

Person Specification


Experience

* Recent experience of working as a General Practitioner in UK Primary Care
* Experience in managing a diverse range of acute and chronic medical conditions
* Experience of working effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Experience in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
* Experience with general practice clinical IT systems (e.g., EMIS Web, SystmOne, Vision)
* Experience of working within QOF and other local enhanced services
* Experience of supporting medical students or GP Registrars (in a training practice)


Clinical knowledge and skills

* Outstanding clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills commensurate with an experienced GP
* Ability to make autonomous, evidence-based clinical decisions and manage patient risk effectively
* Proficient in conducting patient consultations (face-to-face, telephone, video)
* Knowledge of current clinical guidelines, protocols, and best practice standards in primary care
* Understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, and information governance principles
* Ability to manage acute emergencies and initiate appropriate care
* Knowledge of local and national prescribing guidelines and formulary management


Qualifications

* MBBS or equivalent medical degree
* Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practise
* Included on the NHS England Medical Performers List
* Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice OR Certificate Confirming Eligibility for General Practice Registration (CEGPR)
* MRCGP
* Up-to-date mandatory training (e.g., Adult & Child Safeguarding Levels 2/3, BLS/ILS)
* Appropriate medical indemnity cover (e.g., MDU, MPS, MDDUS)
* Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car (for home visits)
