Be among the first applicants and provide welfare and student support services across the institution.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for all students, answering phone calls and emails.
* Manage the student welfare mailbox and ensure all queries are appropriately addressed.
* Conduct one-to-one support sessions with students.
* Offer one-to-one or small group support for assignment submission and resubmission where required.
* Deliver a flexible support approach, including evening, weekend and out-of-hours sessions.
* Deliver individual and group assignment tutorial sessions.
* Monitor student attendance and take appropriate action for low attendance rates.
* Manage with risky students failing to submit assignments and/or attend learning sessions.
* Monitor risky students and regularly report on their progression and improvement.
* Ensure assignments are submitted on time and meet assessment requirements.
* Collaborate with academic teams to understand assignment assessment requirements.
* Work with the internal verification team to understand resubmission requirements.
* Provide support and teaching sessions for students who may have missed teaching and learning sessions, encouraging them to watch recorded sessions.
* Understand and assist in devising and improving the welfare and student support framework; devise and deliver employability and extracurricular activities where required.
* Support the academic team by printing materials as requested, producing documents/transcripts, and ensuring a smooth flow of information between the academic team, students, and other stakeholders.
* Communicate all assessment dates to students and work closely with the academic teams on the quality cycle of each awarding body, ensuring feedback and grades are issued as per the academic calendar.
