About Us
We're a small, friendly, and hard-working vehicle maintenance workshop that looks after a wide variety of commercial vehicles — everything from vans and lorries to coaches, minibuses & horse boxes. Our clients are mainly small to medium-sized fleet operators, including trades like plumbers, electricians, scaffolders, and schools.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for a reliable and experienced Commercial Vehicle Mechanic to join our team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on and varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a broad range of vehicles. We carry out preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs), MOT preparation, general servicing, and fault-finding work.
Work is assigned in a casual, flexible manner — some jobs are booked in advance, but others come in on the day depending on client needs, so you'll need to be comfortable managing your own workload and pitching in as part of the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles (vans, lorries, minibuses, coaches, etc.)
* Carrying out preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs)
* Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently and safely
* Working independently on jobs where required

What We're Looking For
* Experienced mechanic or technician, ideally with experience on commercial vehicles (vans, HGVs, PSVs, etc.)
* Friendly and approachable – we're a small team and get along well
* Reliable and self-motivated, with the ability to manage your own jobs.
* Able to communicate clearly with colleagues and, on occasion, customers
* Own tools preferred, but we do have shared tools available
* Experience valued over formal qualifications – if you've got the knowledge and can do the job, we'd like to hear from you
* Full clean driving license.

* Starting salary from £30,680, depending on experience
We're open to considering less experienced applicants at a lower starting salary
