Mobile Vehicle Technician providing servicing, maintenance and repair via prebooked appointments at customers’ home address or place of work. This is a new and specialist division for the number one national breakdown company in the UK, with over 15 million members.

Shift and schedule for the Mobile Technician role
Home based, working 40 hours per week across 5 days (Monday to Saturday) 8 am – 8 pm, working 1 in 4 Saturdays. 1 day of overtime per month = £3,000 additional per year; 2 days of overtime per month = £5,000 additional per year, completely optional – more flexibility, more reward.

Job Responsibilities for the Mobile Technician role
* Servicing and repairing vehicles (including EVs) at customer-selected locations such as driveway, office car park.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
* Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
* Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
* Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
* Payment handling through card transactions.
* Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
* Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
What you’ll need to be considered for the Mobile Technician role
* Must have a minimum of Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance and repair or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent).
* Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands‑on experience with vehicles, either in a workshop or mobile vehicle role.
* The ability to work independently, make decisions on the go, and follow procedures.
* A customer-focused approach.
* Must have a full UK driving licence – max 6 points, no bans.
