The Role:
1. Leading the strategic direction of the Science department
2. Coaching and mentoring colleagues across all key stages
3. Driving academic progress and raising attainment
Key Responsibilities
4. Develop Science curriculameeting national standards and school objectives
5. Lead departmental CPDthrough coaching, observations, and INSET
6. Monitor teaching qualityvia book scrutiny and lesson walkthroughs
7. Analyse performance datato implement targeted interventions
8. Manage health & safetyprotocols including risk assessments

Qualifications
15. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
16. Degree in Science(specialism in Biology/Chemistry/Physics preferred)
17. Leadership qualification(e.g., NPQML/NPQSL) or willingness to obtain
Experience
18. Proven success teaching Science at KS3-KS5
19. Leadership experiencein curriculum development/team management
20. Data-driven practice: Tracking student progress through assessment analysis
21. Coaching/mentoringstaff to improve teaching standards

22. Strategic visionfor Science education aligned with school priorities
23. Curriculum design expertise: Sequencing knowledge from KS2-KS5
