Working as part of the Eastern Pathology Alliance, based at the James Paget University Hospital Great Yarmouth, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a cutting edge Laboratory encompassing Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology and Blood Transfusion.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Multidisciplinary Blood Science Spoke Laboratory at the James Paget University Hospital. The successful candidate will ideally be multidisciplinary trained in Haematology, Blood Transfusion and Biochemistry. If you have an interest in training as a multidisciplinary Biomedical Scientist, we would welcome your application. The Laboratory operates Abbott Alinity Haematology and Chemistry analysers, Werfen TOPS coagulation and Grifols Blood Grouping analysers.
Knowledge of laboratory based computers, audits, SOPs, ISO standards and quality is a requirement. Essential qualities we require are an ability to work within a team, good communication skills, good technical proficiency and an ability to work unsupervised. You must be able to work under pressure and be able to meet deadlines, be flexible and adaptable and show that you are motivated and willing to develop your knowledge and skill.
