Salary: Starts at £50,000 (circa dependent on skills and experience) & Car Allowance

Location : Based in the Anglian Water region — hybrid, to include home & working across operational sites and office locations as required

The Role
We're looking for a Flow Technology Development Manager who thrives on possibility.

In this role, you'll lead a talented team to uncover, develop, and implement cutting‑edge solutions across our Water Recycling assets that make a meaningful impact on our flow compliance and environmental purpose.
You'll scout out new technology, rethink traditional processes, and help us build a future that's more efficient, more resilient, and better for our customers and the environment.
You'll be the connection point between strategy and innovation — translating big ambitions into practical, evidence‑based change.
What You'll Be Doing
Sparking new ideas and driving innovation projects from spark… to strategy… to solution
Initiating and managing programmes that transform the way our Water Recycling systems operate
Collaborating with operational teams to uncover opportunities and tackle challenges head‑on
Staying plugged into the latest technologies across (and far beyond) the water industry
Making sure innovation aligns with our long‑term goals and delivers real value
Elevating business case development and championing best practice across the team
Building connections, inspiring curiosity, and leading by example
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who brings both expertise and imaginative thinking. You'll ideally have:
A strong record of initiating solutions to overcome complex technical problems
Experience in systems‑based thinking, ideally within the water industry
Lead, support and develop your team, ensuring they are empowered, motivated and equipped to deliver high‑quality innovation outcomes
A proven ability to build productive, credible relationships with a vast array of stakeholders
Solid understanding of Water Recycling assets and processes
Relevant hands‑on experience within Water Recycling
Someone curious, motivated, and excited by the future of water
A communicator who can bring ideas to life and inspire others to get involved
A confident user of IT systems and applications — with outstanding IT capability
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and deliver at pace
A logical thinker who knows when to analyse and when to act
Full UK Driving Licence
